AUSTIN (Austin Business Journal) – DT Solar LLC is coming to the state capital to establish a new southwest headquarters for development of large-scale solar- and renewable-energy facilities.

The Atlanta-based company is in the process of finding office space in or near downtown Austin. The division will build its personnel slowly and could employ up to a couple dozen people in the next few years. The Austin office will direct projects throughout the region on the order of $30 million to $300 million.

“A lot of the development that we’re working with is going to happen in the Southwest in the coming years, so we looked at the big energy consuming and producing states,” said energy veteran Richard Gruber, who will head the new local office as executive vice president of generation development.
