Record Breaking Austin Home Sales Continue
Austin-area home sales set a record in July for the fourth consecutive year.
According to the Austin Board of Realtors, about 2,721 single-family homes sold in Central Texas during July, an 11 percent increase over last year. The median home price hit $178,190, an increase of 5 percent. Those sales generated a total of $668 million for the local economy, an increase of 21 percent.
The number of active listings decreased by 6 percent, to 8,368.
